Jarvis Property Restoration will give the following presentation:

Title: “What is Emergency Response Planning vs Business Continuity Planning?” and Part 2 “Mold Remediation Per ICRA Standards”
Discussion: Will focus on what should be included in your Emergency Responder’s pre-planning activities and why the first 24-36 hours are the most critical times to minimize your loss.  We’ll then discuss Business Continuity Planning (BOC) and what should be included in your plan.

Presenter Bios

Anthony Richardson – Commercial Large Loss Mitigation Manager

Tony holds a Michigan builders license, certifications from the Institute for Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water Damage Restoration, Fire and Smoke Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Smoke and Odor Control, is ICRA certified (Infection Control Risk Assessment), EPA certified in Refrigeration and holds his 30 hour OSHA certification.  He is also a Senior Estimator.
Tony manages the Water and Mold Division for all Jarvis offices.  During a catastrophic event, he heads up the Catastrophic Division activities on site.  He’s responsible for training and education of his departmental employees and has financial oversight for all divisional water and mold losses.  Mr. Richardson works with insurance carriers and adjusters regarding pricing, production, customer relations and satisfaction of the customer.
Mr. Richardson has over 17 years in the restoration business and 23 years overall in the construction business both commercial and residential.  Tony also has 13 years’ experience in Facility Management. Managing his department, he monitors all projects. Any project in excess of $200,000 receives direct supervision by himself.  Based in Michigan, he directly interacts with his 10 water teams. He also coordinates and provides direction for the Florida water teams as well.
Tony is proud to have completed projects with Henry Ford Hospital, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Royal Oak Public Schools, Warren Public Library, the Macomb County Building to name a few.

Mathew Jarvis - Corporate Vice President

Mathew Jarvis, Corporate Vice President, has provided a leadership role at Jarvis for over 16 years in emergency response and restoration.  Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Northwood University, he entered the family business providing disaster relief to residential and commercial owners.  Mathew is dedicated to educating each client of the restoration process and provides assurance that the job will be completed in the most professional method restoring the property to pre-loss condition.
Mathew holds certifications from the IICRC in water damage, applied structural drying, odor control, fire & smoke restoration, and applied microbial remediation, bringing a great depth of knowledge to the workforce and clients.  He’s also certified in ICRA, the Infection Control Risk Assessment). Matt has completed training from the: Jim Thompson Large Loss Management, Violand Management Development, Shaun Fair Sales Development, and Boldens Large Loss Restoration.
Matt strategically maps out a storms potential geographic track and prior to the storm hitting, dispatches crews to the area to readily access damage and create action plans to restore loss of property.
Mathew maintains a partnership with school districts such as Royal Oak School District, L’anse Creuse School District, Grosse Pointe Public Schools, Ferndale Public Schools, Holly Area School District, as well as the Lansing State Journal and Baker College. Other relationships exist with CBRE, New Hanover County Buildings, Henry Ford Hospitals, St. Mary’s Hospital, Singh Senior Living and dozens more.  His greatest accomplishment was the work Jarvis conducted restoring over 30 commercial buildings simultaneously during the Cedar Rapids, Iowa flooding of 2008.
As Vice President, Matt is very motivated and is the driving force behind Operations ensuring every job is completed in the most timely and efficient manner.  He’s directly involved with each division at all Jarvis locations across the company.

Michael J. Lauhoff, Vice President Commercial Accounts

Michael J. Lauhoff, Vice President of Commercial Accounts, has over 30 years of Facility Management experience which includes 11 years working for the DMC and Ascension Health as a manager and Director.  Buildings maintained included a small country hospital to over a 1 million square feet hospital including the operations of a Cogeneration Plant. Mike was retained by Albert Kahn in 1999 to develop the strategic plan for Kahn Strategic Services and create the FM business, landing major clients such as Coca-Cola, General Motors and Good Will Industries of Greater Detroit.  He was the Executive Director of Kahn Facility Management, developing all programs/policies, responsible for operations, hiring of personnel, as well as creating and overseeing all contracts and fiscal costs.
While working for Albert Kahn he became a Principal of the firm.  One of his many roles was to conduct building condition assessments of health care institutions and assess the effectiveness of the FM department.  In 2010 he left to open his own Facility Management business.
Mike holds a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Siena Heights University, holds his Real Property Administrator (RPA) and Facility Management Administrator (FMA) designations from the BOMI Institute and has been teaching for the Institute for 14 years, both nationally and internationally.
Joining Jarvis Property Restoration in January of 2020, Mike’s roles are to expand the commercial market segment, help design the strategic plan to move Jarvis forward as the premier leader in the Michigan/Florida restoration business and build the Cap-Ex division.
